Spinal Manipulation

This is the foundation on which the chiropractic profession has built its reputation of giving relief. Spinal manipulation also can have other far reaching effects on the nervous system. Patients with back, neck and other musculoskeletal disorders often respond to this technique. In our clinic we practice hands on spinal adjusting as well as instrument adjusting that include Activator Technique and Thompson drop table technique.

Active Rehabilitation

Active  exercises greatly increase the rate of recovery by promoting blood flow and increasing strength and endurance. Evidence based research promotes the combination of spinal manipulation and active exercise for the recovery of MSK injuries. At the Campus Clinic, the Flex Centre is available for staff and students to engage in exercise programs.

Motor Vehicle Accidents

Our clinics are fully equipped to help you recover from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Dr. Kevin McAllister has been a rostered assessor at Lakeridge Health Oshawa since 1994 and has provided thousands of insurer’s examinations. Our staff has extensive experience dealing with the paperwork and our doctors are familiar and experienced with the medico-legal aspects of injuries.

WSIB (Workers Safety and Insurance Board)

All of our doctors are qualified and registered with the WSIB to provide rehabilitation services to those injured while at work. Our staff is experienced and comfortable working through the paperwork that is required.

Webster Technique

Dr. Webster personally taught Dr. Kevin the technique of helping breach  babies turn. As chiropractors, we are not trained nor are we able to determine whether a baby is breach. This is done by medical doctors and midwives. Once the diagnosis of a baby being breach is established, the Webster Technique is used to relax the pelvis and related musculature. By relaxing and mobilizing the area, the baby can, if they choose, into a more comfortable position. The procedure is safe and effective.
